Chapter 123: Individual Cavalry Dormitory - Pyramid
Under Bai Song's furious strike, Tom was sent flying for about ten meters and crashed into the wall. After falling to the ground, its eyes started spinning in their sockets, and even a bunch of little stars appeared above its head.
Bai Song was a bit bewildered as he looked at Tom, who had been gently flung over ten meters away, and then at the frying pan in his hand that now had an imprint of Tom's butt. He didn't remember using that much force. Moreover, he himself couldn't possibly have the strength to send a cat flying over ten meters with a gentle swing.
"Truly a comedic character. I only gave a light tap..."
Seeing Tom being smacked by the frying pan, sent flying over ten meters, and even breaking the frying pan in the process, Bai Song lost his temper and decided not to scold Tom further. He realized that he was the one at a disadvantage here. He had already lost one frying pan, and the one with Tom's butt imprint was now unusable. The mere thought of cooking with a frying pan that had smacked a cat's butt, potentially with cat excrement on it, made Bai Song feel nauseous.
Who would use a frying pan with a butt imprint to cook? No one!
After putting the limited edition frying pan with Tom's butt imprint aside, Bai Song loudly called out to Tom, "Tom, come here!"
Meanwhile, Tom had recovered from its dizziness and was contemplating how to evade Bai Song's potential attack. It wasn't sure if Bai Song was calling it over to beat it again. After all, the sixth brother had just pretended not to hit it and then suddenly swung a frying pan at it.
Was it okay for this comrade with a distinguished Mouse Hunter title to be deceived and ambushed like this? No, it wasn't!
However, after enduring a tormenting inner struggle, Tom decided to trust Bai Song once again. It started cautiously walking toward Bai Song with somewhat hesitant steps. This state ensured that if Bai Song still wanted to hit it when it got closer, it could quickly turn around and run away instead of slipping in place for a few seconds and receiving another devastating blow on its butt.
Seeing Tom approaching without any major issues, Bai Song called out to his other two food lovers, "Jerry, Spike!"
"Woof woof woof!" Almost as soon as Bai Song's words fell, a big dog excitedly rushed to Bai Song's side. Jerry also emerged from a nearby mouse hole and arrived in front of Bai Song. Although Jerry was slower than Spike, they both reached Bai Song at the same time.
Although they didn't know what Bai Song had in mind, the three small creatures lined up in front of Bai Song. Except for Tom, who was feeling a bit awkward after his recent mishap, the other two were visibly excited.
If you were to ask why they were so excited, it's obvious—they were about to have a meal! Bai Song called them over, so it must be feeding time!
"Now that everyone is here, let's set off... to enjoy a free meal!" With these words, Bai Song waved his hand and led the way towards the door with a determined expression.
Upon hearing that it was indeed mealtime and that it might even be a freeloading opportunity, the cat, mouse, and dog, all six pairs of eyes, lit up simultaneously. They quickly followed Bai Song, afraid that if they were even a second too slow, they would starve to death.
Bai Song first went to the warehouse of his own house, named Uryuu Residence, and pushed out a small electric scooter.
This little electric scooter gave Bai Song endless courage, allowing him to sleep until 6 o'clock in the morning before setting off. If he hadn't discovered this electric scooter in the warehouse, he would probably have left Fuyuki City with the three small creatures since yesterday evening and headed to the seaside amusement park that could rival a small city.
Sitting on the electric scooter, with Spike at his feet, Tom hanging around his neck, and Jerry tucked in his pocket, Bai Song confirmed that his posture was stable and balanced. Without hesitation, he twisted the throttle, and the scooter shot forward at an incredible speed.
If others were to witness this speed, they would probably exclaim, "What the heck just zoomed past?!"
Not only Bai Song but many people in Fuyuki City who had both time and money were heading towards the "EUO Super Deluxe Seaside Paradise." The roads were congested with vehicles, and it was only a little past 6 o'clock in the morning. In another hour or two, the traffic would become even more congested.
Clearly, Bai Song was not the only one attracted by the prospect of freeloading.
However, this kind of situation didn't pose any difficulty for Bai Song. He twisted the throttle to the max and swiftly maneuvered through the traffic like a ghostly figure, without slowing down at all.
This is where the superiority of the electric scooter comes into play. Due to its small size, Bai Song could easily navigate through the congested roads, which resembled a city skyline. Bai Song was even going at full speed!
"Wuhu~ Yeah!" Feeling the exhilaration of speed and the thrill of knowing that any mistake could land him in the hospital, Bai Song couldn't help but shout out in excitement.
Of course, a big part of the thrill came from the comparison. Looking at all the expensive cars stuck in the traffic jam, driven by people who insisted on going to the seaside amusement park for freeloading, Bai Song couldn't help but feel a sense of superiority. They were all stuck here, not even able to outrun a snail!
Meanwhile, Bai Song was racing towards the seaside amusement park at full speed. In other words, he would be among the first to arrive and start enjoying the freeloading experience.
The sense of thrill wasn't just a simple addition; it was a terrifying multiplication!
Inside a luxury car, Kayneth, bored and stuck in traffic, even considered getting out and walking. Suddenly, he noticed a shadow flashing by next to him. "What the heck just zoomed past?"
Sola glanced up but didn't see anything. She continued playing with her phone. "Must be your imagination."
On the other side, Bai Song was still speeding away, already out of Fuyuki City. Fuyuki itself wasn't big, so crossing it horizontally wasn't difficult. Moreover, for some reason, Bai Song felt like he was riding an extremely fast electric scooter, which accelerated his departure from Fuyuki even more.
After leaving Fuyuki, Bai Song continued eastward along the coastline. It didn't take long before he could vaguely see a building in the distance. Looking at the inverted golden triangle in the sky, Bai Song stopped cycling and gazed into the distance with a bewildered expression.
Realizing that it seemed to be an inverted pyramid atop a building, Bai Song was utterly dumbfounded.
"That thing... is a pyramid???"
