Chapter 116: Bai Song: Free Food?! Holy crap!
"Ah!" Butch held his left cheek, bewildered, and looked at Tom with a confused expression. He couldn't understand what Tom was up to. Wasn't he just wiping the garbage water with his fur? Did he deserve a beating for that?
After putting the glove back on his left hand, Tom extended his right index finger and waved it in front of him, making two circles before pointing towards the front yard's entrance, signaling Butch to leave from there.
Seeing Tom's gesture, Butch couldn't ignore the message. Tom wanted him gone, and he understood that very well. Butch no longer considered Tom a friend. He hopped off the swing, stood up, and raised the lid of the garbage bin high, bringing it down forcefully towards Tom's forehead.
"Bang!!!" In an instant, the lid landed on Tom's forehead, but Tom's forehead seemed to be more resilient. The force of Tom's headbutt actually cracked the lid of the garbage bin. However, that didn't matter to Butch because his purpose of attacking was accomplished.
The broken lid instantly transformed into a ring, perfectly encircling Tom's waist and trapping his hands within it. Standing in place, Tom felt stars swirling above his head, everything appearing blurry.
"Bang!" After completing this move, Butch didn't miss the opportunity to control Tom. He swiftly kicked Tom's belly, sending him flying about ten meters away!
"Smack!!!" Finally, Tom's mouth opened, his eyes closed, as he was sent soaring and landed beneath a tree on the opposite side.
"Butch!" Upon seeing Tom being launched away by his surprise combo attack, Butch quickly placed his right hand on his forehead to shield his eyes from the sunlight. He laughed heartily, watching Tom crash-land near the tree roots. "Aha-hahaha!"
After executing this combo, Butch still felt unsatisfied. It had found a satisfying rhythm with the previous attacks and wanted to continue with a few more successive strikes against Tom.
Looking around, Butch's eyes gleamed when they landed on the bones it had recently finished eating, scattered on the ground. Without a second thought, Butch grabbed a chicken leg bone, raised it high, and hopped on one foot several times to gather momentum. Then, with a vigorous throw, it aimed straight at Tom's direction, with incredible force, at least in Butch's own eyes.
However, Butch underestimated Tom once again. Tom had already snapped out of it.
Tom gripped the edge of the garbage can lid with both hands in a reverse grip and lifted it off himself. After removing the lid, which now resembled a single iron ring without the top cover, Tom was about to casually throw it away. But at that moment, he seemed to have a thought, so he held one side of the iron ring in each hand and twisted it forcefully, transforming the seemingly feeble ring into a twisted baton.
Looking at the perfect baton in his hands, Tom turned his head to face the perspective described in the novel, with a wicked grin stretching from ear to ear. Having a handy weapon meant... it was time for revenge!
"Ah-ha!" Tom tightly gripped one end of the twisted baton and swung it like a baseball bat. In the instant when Butch threw the chicken leg bone, Tom swung the baton in a remarkably perfect arc.
"Bang!" The twisted baton perfectly hit the chicken leg bone, sending it flying back!
"Smack!" After a brief flight, the chicken leg bone landed precisely on Butch's face, who was peering at Tom. Butch's face resembled putty, as the bone stretched it inward. Moreover, the bone protruded from the back of Butch's head by about ten centimeters, as if Butch's skull was non-existent.
Eventually, due to the loss of momentum, and Butch's head having some elasticity, the bone bounced out. Butch's head, however, remained disfigured, resembling a flower in full bloom from Tom's perspective.
Upon witnessing Butch's pitiful state, Tom turned back to face the described camera angle, wearing a smile and pointing his right thumb backward at Butch.
Subsequently, Tom leaned against the tree he had collided with, extending his left hand dramatically towards his abdomen, while supporting it with his right hand. With exaggerated movements, he mocked Butch, whose face now resembled a flower in full bloom.
"Ah-hahaha!"
As Butch, who had just been laughing at Tom, caught sight of Tom's actions, it suddenly froze, and in an instant, the roles reversed.
Butch, being one of the street cats in the iron triangle, couldn't tolerate this humiliation!
While being mocked by Tom, Butch shook its head to regain composure. Then, it scanned the surroundings, trying to find a suitable object to throw. However, it became apparent that the bone was the only hard object nearby.
Finally, Butch's gaze landed on the newspaper it had recently read. It crumpled the newspaper into a ball, held it with both hands near its right ear, and lifted its left foot, assuming the stance of a baseball pitcher.
And on the other side, Tom, understanding the gesture made by Butch, assumed the stance of a baseball player, gripping the bat with both hands and waiting for the ball to enter the swinging range. If they were to change into baseball uniforms at this moment, it would be a home run, but unfortunately, that wasn't possible.
"Whoosh!" Seizing the opportunity, Butch swiftly threw the "ball" towards Tom. The speed was incredibly fast, not resembling a crumpled newspaper at all, but rather a genuine baseball!
"Bang!" However, even with such speed, it was difficult to evade Tom's swing. In the moment it entered the range of attack, Tom decisively swung the bat and sent the "ball" flying!
"Ah-ha!!!" Watching the ball soar away, Tom's expression immediately became arrogant once again.
However... that arrogance lasted only a moment, as it could no longer be arrogant. Why? Because... the "ball" that it hit was aimed at Bai Song's room's window. "Ah-ha..."
"Crash!" With a piercing sound, Bai Song's room window shattered. Inside the room, lying on the bed, Bai Song covered their head, holding the crumpled paper ball in hand and shouted in anger, "Who did this?!"
"Who dares to disturb my sleep... hmm?" Just as they were about to vent their anger, Bai Song noticed a headline on the crumpled paper ball that read, "EUO Super Deluxe Seaside Paradise opening tomorrow, free week of play (including food)."
Seeing this headline, Bai Song, who was awakened by poverty every day, was instantly shocked. "What the hell?!"
